Certification Project for Electrical Facilities in Buildings, Enhancing Facility Standards... Improving Resident Convenience
7th Acquisition Following Kumho Central Bay Happy Housing Ilgwang and The Park Igidae
Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC, Acting President Park Su-saeng) announced on the 21st that the integrated public rental housing at Happy Housing Complex 1 in front of City Hall and Ilgwang District 4BL has received the preliminary certification of Electric Safety (Building) Grade 1.
The 'Electric Safety (Building) Certification' is a system overseen by the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation that evaluates the safety and reliability of electrical facilities and awards certification to outstanding buildings.
Preliminary certification is granted to buildings that have thoroughly planned and implemented electrical safety measures from the design stage, proving an excellent level of electrical safety.
BMC has continuously promoted the Electric Safety (Building) certification by raising the minimum conditions for building permits so that residents can live safely without concerns about electrical accidents occurring in the buildings.
The upcoming Happy Housing in front of City Hall and the integrated public rental housing at Ilgwang District 4BL apply emergency power supply devices within the units, allowing the use of emergency lighting, boilers, and wall pads even during power outages. Additionally, efforts were made to improve residents' quality of life and reduce management costs by applying eco-friendly, high-efficiency LED lighting fixtures.
BMC plans to establish exemplary cases in the field of electrical safety for public housing by pursuing the 'Electric Safety (Building) Grade 1 Final Certification' for the currently preliminarily certified Happy Housing in front of City Hall (Complex 1), integrated public rental housing at Ilgwang District 4BL, and Eco Delta City (18, 19, 20BL) public sale housing, as well as previously supplied Kumho Central Bay Happy Housing Ilgwang and Happy Housing in front of City Hall (Complex 2).
Park Su-saeng, Acting President of Busan Metropolitan Corporation, stated, "We will take the lead in spreading Electric Safety (Building) certification so that residents can live safely and conveniently from electrical disasters through improving electrical quality and strengthening safety standards."
