The prosecution has requested an arrest warrant for Kim Se-hwan, the former Secretary General of the Central Election Commission.
On the 21st, the Public Investigation Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Chan-gyu) filed a pre-arrest warrant request against former Secretary General Kim on charges of abuse of authority and obstruction of the exercise of rights, as well as violation of the National Public Officials Act, related to the hiring of his children. The prosecution began the investigation into former Secretary General Kim following a request from the Board of Audit and Inspection.
