Gwangju-Jeonnam SME Central Association Opens Applications for 'Meritorious Service Awards'

The Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs (Chairman Lim Kyung-jun) announced on the 21st that it is accepting applications for the '2025 Small and Medium Enterprise Merit Awards,' which recognize individuals who have contributed to the development and promotion of SMEs, until December 13.


The SME Merit Awards is the largest nationwide award targeting 8.04 million small and medium business owners, and the awards are presented annually at the 'Korea SME Convention' held during SME Week (the third week of May).


The SME Merit Awards are divided into four categories: ▲Model SME Owners (Manufacturing, Distribution/Service) ▲Model Workers ▲Contributors to SME Development ▲Outstanding Supporting Organizations (Institutions). After evaluation, recipients are awarded government honors such as the Order of Industrial Service Merit (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron, Stone Tower), Industrial Service Medal, Presidential Citation, Prime Minister Citation, as well as institutional commendations (Minister of SMEs and Startups, Administrator of Public Procurement Service, etc.).


Applications for the awards can be submitted by referring to the '2025 SME Merit Awards Application Guide' post on the Korea Federation of SMEs website and sending the required documents and supporting materials via email.
