Goyang-si, Recruiting Participants for 2025 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Program

From the 3rd to the 16th of next month... Recruiting a total of 9,291 people

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 21st that it is recruiting participants for the 2025 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project. The city has invested a total of 37.1 billion KRW in this project, creating a total of 9,291 senior jobs, and recruitment will be conducted through each implementing agency.

Through this project, the city plans to recruit 6,667 participants for the ‘Senior Public Interest Activity Project’ for low-income seniors aged 65 and over receiving basic pension and occupational pension benefits; 1,448 participants for the ‘Senior Capacity Utilization Project’ for seniors aged 65 and over not receiving basic pension benefits; 906 participants for the Community Project Group for seniors aged 60 and over not receiving basic pension benefits; and 270 participants for the Employment Referral type, totaling 9,291 participants.

Starting from the 25th, application forms will be distributed at 11 senior job implementing agencies in Goyang City, and applications can be submitted in person or online via Bokjiro from December 3rd to 16th.

Seniors wishing to apply in person should bring supporting documents and apply at the implementing agency closest to their residence. Especially, those who apply online must submit the supporting documents directly to the respective agency.

Applicants can apply for multiple projects across six projects in total, consisting of two projects each under the Senior Public Interest Activity Project (Public Interest Type), Senior Capacity Utilization Project (Social Service Type), and Community Project Group (Market Type).

The Senior Public Interest Activity Project offers a monthly salary of 290,000 KRW for 30 hours of activity. Participants will be placed in customized jobs in various fields such as school zone traffic guidance volunteering, 365 Our Neighborhood Watch, senior-to-senior care, and public facility environmental cleanup.

The Senior Capacity Utilization Project provides a monthly salary of 792,750 KRW (including weekly holiday pay and annual leave pay) for activities of 60 hours or more. Tasks include providing services at childcare facilities within Goyang City, assisting at senior centers, supporting senior care facilities, assisting with Lifeline counseling, and helping with post office duties.

The Community Project Group has varying working hours and salaries depending on the project group and recruits in diverse fields such as manufacturing and sales projects, Silver Cafes, senior convenience stores, and school service provision. Additionally, these are quality jobs where the demand side partially covers salaries or generates revenue to support participants’ wages.

A city official stated, “By providing customized senior jobs, we will expand opportunities for seniors to participate in society, supplement their income, improve health, and enhance self-satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment. We will continue to devote all efforts to promoting senior job projects.”
