Musinsa Store 'Seongsu@Daerim Warehouse', Half of Transactions from 'Foreign Customers'

One Month After Opening... Increase in Foreign Female Customers' Proportion

Musinsa announced on the 21st that Musinsa Store Seongsu@Daerim Warehouse, which opened in Seongsu-dong last September, is rapidly emerging as a fashion shopping hotspot for foreign customers.


Analyzing the transaction data of Musinsa Store Seongsu@Daerim Warehouse for the entire month of October, Musinsa found that nearly half, 49%, of the transaction amount came from foreign customers. This is nearly double the 26% of total transactions recorded during the first month of opening in September.

Looking at foreign customers by gender, women accounted for about 87% of all foreign customers. Approximately 43% of the total transaction amount was generated by foreign women. During this period, the number of visitors to Musinsa Store Seongsu@Daerim Warehouse was 115,000.


Foreign customers showed great interest in trending brands and pop-up stores. The collaboration sneakers by Rockfish Weatherwear x Kiss of Life and the hoodie exclusively released by Thug Club accounted for more than half of foreign purchases, ranking high in transaction amounts.


Among women's fashion brands that are gradually gaining recognition in the global market, shop-in-shop brands such as Marithe Francois Girbaud and Trimming Bird also saw foreign purchase ratios exceed half.


A Musinsa representative said, “Within just over a month since the opening of Musinsa Store Seongsu@Daerim Warehouse, word of mouth through SNS has spread rapidly, increasing the influx of not only domestic customers but also tourists visiting Seongsu. Moving forward, we will focus on introducing Korean fashion trends to more global customers along with competitive domestic brands.”
