Seong Heumje, Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea in Seoul Metropolitan Council, Delivers Negotiation Group Representative Speech at the 327th Regular Session on the 20th
"We Will Restore the True Meaning of Fairness and Common Sense and Protect the Livelihoods of Citizens by Their Side"
Seong Heum-je, the representative member of the Democratic Party of Korea in the Seoul Metropolitan Council, delivered a negotiation group representative speech at the 4th plenary session of the 327th regular meeting on the 20th.
Representative Seong mentioned the fact that Mayor Oh Se-hoon was involved in the 'Myeongtaegyun Gate' and urged a thorough investigation and strong legal response.
He also pointed out current issues and problems in Seoul. Highlighting various problems such as the opaque project promotion of the Great Hangang Project, the insufficient results of Sintong Planning and Moa Town, and the regression of Seoul's public care, he emphasized that he would meticulously monitor and correct the problems of Seoul city administration on behalf of the citizens.
Regarding the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, he requested efforts to realize the fundamental values of education, such as the normalization of public education and nurturing future talents, and urged smooth communication with the city council.
Representative Seong emphasized, “A more cautious and responsible attitude is necessary in policy decisions that will change the lives of future generations,” and called for future-oriented policy decisions from both Seoul city and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.
Finally, Representative Seong stated, “Restoring people’s livelihoods is the Democratic Party of Korea’s top priority,” and pledged to faithfully carry out the council’s original duties of monitoring and checking, continuing legislative activities that represent the voices of the citizens.
