Chairman Choi Hojung: "As the council works hard, citizens' happiness increases... We will boost staff morale"
Choi Ho-jeong, Chairperson of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, awarded commendations to 12 employees for their outstanding performance in the 2024 administrative audit on the 19th.
Chairperson Choi said, “The administrative audit is an effort we put our best into every year, but this year’s audit was especially thorough, receiving praise from many quarters. We prepared these commendations to express our gratitude to the employees who worked diligently behind the scenes.”
She continued, “The administrative audit is a process that intensively settles the annual budget of Seoul City and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and it is the only channel to verify whether citizens’ tax money has been properly used. I believe that the more diligently the council works, the higher the citizens’ happiness will be, so please continue to work hard.”
This year’s administrative audit was conducted over two weeks from November 4 to 15. It attracted significant public interest from the preparation stage, including citizen reports and data requests.
Additionally, the number of press releases distributed during this period increased by 1.5 times compared to last year, totaling 421 releases.
Chairperson Choi Ho-jeong stated, “Not only in the administrative audit but also in next year’s budget review, we will work hard to achieve results that meet citizens’ expectations. Going forward, the Seoul Metropolitan Council will strive to be a working council that is trusted and respected.”
