The 'Volunteer Cooperation Group Sharing Love Kimchi Making' event with multicultural families was successfully held on the 20th at Guro-gu Office Plaza.
This event was organized to help neighbors in need and spread a culture of sharing. It was made even more meaningful through the sponsorship of the local NGO group '(Sa) Hamkkehaneun Sarangbat', and the active participation of Dream Start multicultural families and the Volunteer Cooperation Group.
Starting with an opening ceremony, 10 Dream Start multicultural families and about 100 members of the Volunteer Cooperation Group from each neighborhood joyfully prepared 500 boxes of kimchi (10kg each), sharing warm hearts for the local community.
The completed kimchi will be delivered to social welfare facilities and socially vulnerable residents in the area through each neighborhood community center.
A participant from the Volunteer Cooperation Group who attended said, "I felt proud to engage in such a meaningful activity with many people after a long time," and added, "I hope the finished kimchi will be delivered with warm hearts to those who truly need it."
An official from Guro-gu stated, "We plan to continuously support volunteer activities of local volunteer organizations so that many meaningful events can be held for marginalized neighbors to feel warm during the cold winter."
