Seosan City Showcases 'Farm-Based Processed Products' at Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition

Seosan City in South Chungcheong Province is participating in the 19th Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition held at the COEX Exhibition Hall in Seoul, showcasing the region's outstanding farm-processed products.

The 19th Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition, hosted by COEX and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, will be held for four days from the 20th to the 23rd. It is the largest comprehensive food exhibition in Korea, featuring over 1,000 companies from 31 countries, along with buyers and consumers.

During the event, the city will set up the 'Seosan City Farm-Processed Products Promotion Hall' to promote more than 30 types of processed products from five local businesses to domestic and international buyers, aiming to expand sales channels for locally processed agricultural foods.

Additionally, the city plans to actively promote the appeal of its excellent local agricultural specialty processed products through consultations with buyers.

At the promotion hall, agricultural products directly cultivated and processed by local farmers, such as rice ginger tea, ginger syrup, and traditional liquor made from local specialties like rice and ginger, will be showcased, and tasting events will also be held.

Kim Gap-sik, head of the city’s Agricultural Technology Center, said, “Participating in this exhibition will be an opportunity to widely promote our region’s excellent farm-processed products and pioneer new sales channels,” adding, “We will continue to strive to increase the income and competitiveness of local farmers.”

Meanwhile, the exhibition is held under the theme of 'Inspiration: Food Life,' presenting sustainable food culture and innovative food tech.
