‘Peaceful Unification and the Future Era, Competitiveness of Goyang Special City’ Addressed

On the 19th, Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, was invited as a distinguished guest to the '2024 Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council Advanced Course' hosted by the Goyang City Council of the Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council, where he delivered a special lecture titled "The Competitiveness of Goyang Special City in the Future Era of Peaceful Unification."

The Democratic Peace Unification Advanced Course is a professional program for nurturing unification leaders, conducted through various themes and formats such as dialogues with North Korean defectors, special lectures on unification issues, and talk concerts.

At the special lecture, over 100 participants including advisory members of the Democratic Peace Unification Goyang City Council and Goyang citizens gathered to discuss △ the development process of Goyang Special City, △ its role as a global self-sufficient, peace, and education hub city, and △ the competitiveness of Goyang Special City in the future era of unification.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City said, "I hope this was a meaningful time to share the vision of Goyang Special City moving toward the era of peaceful unification," and added, "I believe that you will be strong partners in helping Goyang Special City continue its growth as it has so far."
