Pocheon City Holds Workshop for Consumer Food Hygiene Inspectors

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 20th that it held a workshop on the 18th at the Pocheon Business Center conference room to improve the job skills of 34 consumer food hygiene inspectors.

This workshop was conducted by inviting a professional instructor with the aim of completing more than 4 hours of job training annually in accordance with the Food Sanitation Act. The training was designed to strengthen the professional capabilities necessary for fieldwork, including understanding food hygiene inspection and procedures, and analyzing cases of violations of the Food Sanitation Act.


In addition, to enhance understanding of Pocheon's history and culture and to strengthen solidarity with the local community, Choi Myung-ho, vice president of the Pocheon Cultural Center, was invited to give a liberal arts lecture titled "The Pocheon Where I Live."


Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, "I hope this training served as an opportunity to enhance the professionalism and field capabilities of consumer food hygiene inspectors," and added, "Pocheon City will continue to do its best to create a safe food environment that citizens can trust together with consumer food hygiene inspectors."
