Busan Gijang-gun Holds 'Military Policy Advisory Committee' Meeting... Exploring Directions for Military Festival Development

On the 19th, Gijang-gun, Busan held the '2024 2nd County Government Policy Advisory Committee (Chairman Hong Seong-ryul)' at the briefing room on the 3rd floor of the county office.

The meeting was attended by about 40 people, including County Governor Jeong Jong-bok, Chairman Hong Seong-ryul and members of the County Government Policy Advisory Committee, and Gijang-gun officials, focusing on exploring progressive directions for the county festivals.

At the meeting, the advisory committee members reviewed the progress of research projects on the development directions of various festivals, including the county's representative festival, the Chaseong Cultural Festival, and engaged in questions and discussions. In particular, they proposed various policies and suggestions to foster the Chaseong Cultural Festival into a nationwide festival beyond Gijang-gun.

Chairman Hong Seong-ryul of the County Government Policy Advisory Committee urged Gijang-gun, saying, "Please do your best to reflect the diverse opinions raised today so that the Chaseong Cultural Festival and other Gijang-gun festivals can establish themselves as nationwide cultural festivals."

Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, "I am always grateful for the passion and efforts of the advisory committee members for the development of Gijang-gun," and added, "I ask for your continued active interest and advice."

The Gijang-gun County Government Policy Advisory Committee was formed immediately after Governor Jeong Jong-bok took office to actively communicate with residents and reflect their opinions in county administration. The committee consists of two subcommittees?administration & culture, and economy & safety?and includes a chairman, vice chairman, subcommittee heads, and members, totaling 28 people. Meetings on major issues are held upon Gijang-gun's request.
