GoDesign Expands to 20 Award-Winning Works at KAID-Hosted Pinup Design Awards

Design company Go Design (CEO Kim Duman) announced that six of its entries were selected as main award winners at the Pinup Design Award 2024.

The Pinup Design Award is a design competition hosted by the Korea Industrial Designers Association (Kaid) and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. It began in 1997 as the Korea Industrial Design Award and is regarded as one of the top three design awards in Korea. With this award, Go Design has won the Pinup Design Award a total of 20 times.

Go Design’s winning works at the Pinup Design Award this year include the portable X-ray HnX-1 and GEN2 Detector from H&Abiz Co., Ltd., Juvzen from JSDR Co., Ltd., ASFA Spotter from MBD Co., Ltd., the medical tonometer TonoEye CVT100 from CNVTech Co., Ltd., and the G. Eye Parking Robot, a robot for disabled-only parking zone enforcement from GI Lab Co., Ltd., totaling six works.

Naye Dam Na, team leader at Go Design who led the design, expressed that the portable X-ray HnX-1 and GEN2 Detector from H&Abiz Co., Ltd. received positive evaluations for their improved diagnostic performance and portability for medical staff. Juvzen from JSDR Co., Ltd. elegantly embodied the concept of “skin filling up,” ASFA Spotter from MBD Co., Ltd. well reflected the company’s advanced technology and identity, TonoEye CVT100 from CNVTech Co., Ltd. featured a design considering ergonomic elements, and the G. Eye Parking Robot from GI Lab Co., Ltd. is a robot platform for guiding and managing disabled-only parking zones. She added that incorporating recent trends such as AI-based technology and universal design concepts likely contributed to the many awards, and she felt honored.

Meanwhile, the Korea Industrial Designers Association (Kaid) plans to hold the 27th Pinup Design Award 2024 ceremony in December, where they will present awards including the main awards Best of Best, Best 100, finalists, as well as notable designers of the year and design management awards of the year.
