Professor Eun Lee (Department of Scientific Computing) at Pukyong National University and others translated "Network Science" (Acorn Publishing), which was selected as an Excellent Academic Book by the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Korea in 2024.
This book was written by Albert-L?szl? Barab?si, a world-renowned scientist and the founder of complex network theory, and translated by Professor Eun Lee along with Professor Lee Mijin and Professor Son Seungwoo from Hanyang University (ERICA), Professor Yoon Jinhyuk from Soongsil University, Professor Lee Sanghoon from Gyeongsang National University, Professor Cho Hanghyun from Catholic University, and Professor Kim Heetae from Korea Energy Engineering University.
The book was selected in the natural sciences category among 294 excellent academic books chosen by the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Korea this year.
This book covers network science, which aims to understand networks found everywhere?from the internet and social networks to gene networks that determine our biological reality?across a wide range of topics including physics, computer science, engineering, economics, and social sciences.
Translator Professor Eun Lee has conducted research on social networks, collective opinion formation within those networks, and cognitive biases, with a particular focus on the impact of unevenly distributed resources, characteristics, and network structures on society.
