Busan Area Junior Colleges - Busan Women and Family - Lifelong Education Promotion Institute Sign RISE Vocational and Lifelong Education Operation Agreement

Kim Young-do, president of Dong-Eui Science University, who is also the chairman of the Korea Council for College Education and the president of the Busan-area junior colleges, announced on the 20th that on the 15th, at the international food company Chowoen Farm, a “Busan-type RISE Vocational and Lifelong Education Operation and Sustainable Growth Agreement” was signed between eight Busan-area junior colleges (Gyeongnam Information University, Daedong University, Dong-Eui Science University, Busan Kyungsang University, Busan University of Science and Technology, Busan Health University, Busan Women’s University, Busan Arts University) and the Busan Women, Family and Lifelong Education Promotion Institute.

At the signing ceremony, Yoon Ji-young, director of the Busan Women, Family and Lifelong Education Promotion Institute, Kim Young-do, president of Dong-Eui Science University, Kim Tae-sang, president of Gyeongnam Information University, Min Kyung-hwa, president of Daedong University, Han Baek-yong, president of Busan Kyungsang University, Jeong Hak-young, president of Busan Health University, Jeong Young-woo, president of Busan Women’s University, and the RISE project leaders from each university attended.


The Busan-area junior colleges and the Busan Women, Family and Lifelong Education Promotion Institute agreed to cooperate in the development and operation of specialized vocational and lifelong education programs at each university to continuously revitalize vocational and lifelong education.


Kim Young-do, president of Dong-Eui Science University, emphasized, “From now on, it is not competition among junior colleges but coexistence and cooperation that are important,” and added, “Through the alliance of institutions and junior colleges, we will create results for the RISE project to support lifelong education and regional settlement not only for school-age learners but also for adult learners and foreign learners.”
