The Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Yang Jae-saeng) held the 267th Busan Economic Forum on the morning of the 20th at the Busan Lotte Hotel under the theme "2025 Economic Outlook and Major Management Environment Issues."
At the forum, over 200 key institution heads and local businesspeople, including Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Yang Jae-saeng, Vice Chairmen Kang Dong-seok and Shin Han-chun, KNN President Lee Oh-sang, and Pukyong National University President Bae Sang-hoon, attended, showing great interest.
The lecture was delivered by Kim Hyung-joo, Head of the Economic and Policy Division, an expert in the economic field who previously served as the Director of Domestic Trade Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and as a research fellow at LG Economic Research Institute. He analyzed the economic outlook for 2025 and management environment issues, presenting strategic directions for companies.
Through his lecture, Head Kim Hyung-joo emphasized, "With the second term of the U.S. Trump administration, it is expected that unstable international conditions such as intensified nationalism will continue. Therefore, local companies need to reorganize their existing global strategies, which have been market-centered, into directions that can quickly respond to the geopolitical era where economic aspects are emphasized."
Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Yang Jae-saeng said in his greeting, "Given the ongoing economic recession and global uncertainties, I hope today's lecture will provide local companies with an opportunity to forecast the world economy for next year and to contemplate the direction of their management strategies together."
Shin Han-chun, Director of the Busan Freight Truck Transportation Business Association, who attends the Busan Economic Forum every month without fail, said, "Through today's lecture, I learned how to prepare for 2025 as a businessperson, and since the local economic community is working together centered on the Busan Chamber of Commerce, I believe the Busan economy can become stronger in the future."
