Free Vaccinations Provided at Designated Medical Institutions
As temperatures have recently dropped significantly, increasing the risk of respiratory diseases, Paju City has launched a campaign to encourage flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.
According to Paju City on the 20th, the city is currently providing free flu and COVID-19 vaccinations for residents aged 65 and older, and it is possible to receive both vaccines on the same day by administering them at different sites.
Those wishing to get vaccinated can check the availability of vaccines at designated medical institutions and visit with identification to receive the vaccination on the same day. Designated medical institutions can be found on the Vaccination Helper website.
Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations for seniors are available until April 30 of next year, but for optimal preventive effects, it is recommended to get vaccinated in November.
Lee Hansang, director of the Paju Public Health Center, said, “The flu season runs from November through April of the following year, and since it takes at least two weeks for antibodies to form after vaccination, we urge residents to get vaccinated promptly.”
