CJ ENM and Warner Bros. have agreed to co-produce when remaking each company's feature films.
CJ ENM announced on the 20th that it has signed a contract for this project, planning to remake works from the libraries each holds through joint development, investment, and distribution with Warner Bros.
The two companies plan to carry out various Korean and English remake projects in the future. When remaking Warner Bros.' works into Korean, CJ ENM will take the lead in co-producing, and when remaking CJ ENM's works into English, Warner Bros. will act as the lead studio to jointly carry out the project.
CJ ENM will handle distribution of its remakes in Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Turkey, while Warner Bros. will be responsible for distribution worldwide except for these regions.
Ko Kyung-beom, head of CJ ENM's film business division, said, "Warner Bros. is an excellent partner that has created legendary films in Hollywood, producing high-quality hit works and possessing the know-how to effectively deliver them to audiences.
