Disabled Persons and National Merit Passengers to Experience Easier Boarding... Jeju Air Simplifies Verification Process

One-time verification allows easy processing for 10 years
Mobile boarding pass issued without separate confirmation

Passengers eligible for identity discounts, such as people with disabilities and national merit recipients, using Jeju Air will be able to receive mobile boarding passes without additional verification.

On the 20th, Jeju Air announced that it has simplified the boarding procedures for identity discount beneficiaries, including people with disabilities, national merit recipients, independence activists, survivors and bereaved families of the April 3rd Jeju Incident, and Jeju residents.

Until now, identity discount beneficiaries had to visit the check-in counter every time they boarded a Jeju Air flight to have their supporting documents verified. Now, if they submit their verification documents at the check-in counter during their first boarding, they can use mobile boarding passes for convenient check-in without additional verification during the validity period. However, this does not apply to those eligible for airport usage fee discounts, such as outstanding technical skill workers and children aged 13 or younger over 24 months old.

For people with disabilities, national merit recipients, independence activists, and survivors and bereaved families of the April 3rd Jeju Incident, the validity period is 10 years, and the validity is automatically extended when using mobile or web check-in within the period. For Jeju residents and excluded residents, the validity period is one year, and after one year from the initial verification, identity discount documents must be resubmitted. A Jeju Air official said, "By simplifying the boarding procedures for identity discount customers, passengers can now enjoy air travel more conveniently," adding, "We will continue to improve related services from the customer's perspective to make air travel even more convenient."
