Sejong University Metaverse Autonomous Twin Research Center Receives Minister of Science and ICT Award

Achievement in Selection for Performance Dissemination at University ICT Research Center Workshop

Sejong University’s Metaverse Autonomous Twin Research Center has achieved the great feat of being selected in the 'Performance Expansion Category' of the 'University ICT Research Center Project.'

On the 20th, Sejong University announced that the Metaverse Autonomous Twin Research Center received the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the '2024 University ICT Research Center Workshop' held on the 14th.

Sejong University’s Metaverse Autonomous Twin Research Center was established in 2021 with support from the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP). It conducts research on the future digital world created through interactions between autonomous twins in metaverse virtual spaces and plays a role in training specialized personnel.

At this year’s ‘ITRC Talent Development Expo,’ the center exhibited and demonstrated core technologies of the metaverse autonomous twin. It has also been selected as a representative exhibition booth in the exhibition group for three consecutive years since 2022.

Kim Jae-ho, director of Sejong University’s Metaverse Autonomous Twin Research Center, said, "We will continue to develop core metaverse autonomous twin technologies applicable in various fields and strive to expand the dissemination of our research achievements."
