Group BLACKPINK's Ros? expressed a special affection for her juniors NewJeans. On the 18th (local time), the British magazine i-D released an interview with Ros?. In the interview, Ros? candidly shared her feelings during the production process, saying, "This is the first opportunity to show people the 'real Rosie,' but I was worried that I might have messed it up" about her first full-length album.
Ros? will release her first solo full-length album, First, Ros? described the process of working on the new album as a "healing process." She said, "Working on the album was the only place where I could keep my sanity. It felt like being in my mother's arms." Last year, Ros? also met global pop star Taylor Swift at an event and received advice from her.
Ros? recalled, "I told Swift, 'I'm a huge fan and I have a few questions.' Swift said, 'Tell me, I'll help you.' She shared her experiences and was ready to help me. She gave me her phone number and said, 'If you have any questions, just ask,'" recalling the moment. She added, "Swift is truly an amazing person and a really beautiful woman."
Ros? also expressed joy over the global success of the duet "Apartment (APT.)" released with American pop star Bruno Mars. She said, "I thought this song would shock people, but I didn't expect it to be loved so quickly. I was overwhelmed by the tremendous love." She also did not forget to express her affection for the BLACKPINK members. Ros? said, "BLACKPINK feels like my alter ego. I'm really grateful to have lived the best life for nearly 10 years."
When asked a surprise question by the media, "How do K-pop stars date?" she replied, "No comment," avoiding the answer. On this day, Ros? was also asked about the junior group NewJeans, who are currently experiencing conflicts with HYBE, the parent company of ADOR. Ros? briefly answered, "I want to talk about positive things. I really love those girls."
Ros? will release her first solo full-length album, rosie, on December 6. Ahead of the album release, she unveiled the pre-release track "Apartment" on the 18th of last month. This song, a collaboration with global pop star Bruno Mars, swept various music charts from the moment of its release and received great love both domestically and internationally. Ros? plans to continue her active promotions by appearing on tvN's You Quiz on the Block, KBS2's The Seasons - Rainbow, and Big Bang Daesung's YouTube channel Jipdaesung, among others.
