Recently, the travel entertainment program ‘Jigumabul Namdo Travel’ was filmed in Damyang, a representative inland tourist city nationwide.
This filming was planned to promote Damyang's beautiful natural scenery and attractive tourist resources, set against the backgrounds of Juknokwon, Gwanbangjerim, and Metasequoia Road. Popular travel creator Wonji participated as a cast member, raising great expectations.
‘Jigumabul Namdo Travel’ is the domestic version of ‘Jigumabul World Travel,’ where dice are rolled to explore famous spots around the world. The program introduces Korea’s representative tourist destinations and hidden gems.
In this filming, Damyang’s representative attractions are introduced, including Juknokwon with its impressive green bamboo forest, Gwanbangjerim with its scenic grove of about 176 trees such as Chinese parasol trees and zelkova trees, and Metasequoia Road with its exotic and fantastic landscape. These sites were selected this year as part of the ‘50 Beautiful Urban Forests’ by the Korea Forest Service and the ‘Local 100’ by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, recognizing their value.
The filmed episode is scheduled to air in March next year, and through the broadcast, Damyang’s natural beauty and diverse tourism content will be widely known nationwide.
County Governor Lee Byung-no said on the 19th, “We hope that Damyang’s charm will spread widely through this filming,” and added, “We plan to do our best to revitalize Damyang tourism through various programs in the future.”
