Marking the fifth year since the transition from a private-centered to a public child protection system, this Child Abuse Prevention Day ceremony was held under the slogan "Until the day the child we saved saves the world," aiming to protect children's rights, create a safe environment, and strengthen social solidarity.
The event included ▲awards for contributors to child abuse prevention and protection ▲a sky lantern performance expressing wishes for children's happiness ▲case presentations from frontline child protection entities such as the police, temporary protection facilities, and foster care departments ▲and performances conveying messages to the children who will save the future world.
Vice Mayor Jang Sang-gil stated, "It is deeply meaningful to gather workers, officials, sponsors, and volunteers from local institutions who have devoted themselves to establishing the child protection system to share empathy and encouragement," adding, "We will continue to work diligently to ensure children can grow up in a safe environment through a tightly knit social network."
