Jangheung-gun Holds Ceremony to Announce Vision for 100% Eco-Friendly Certification Achievement

Minimizing Chemical Fertilizer and Pesticide Use... Expanding Market Channels for Agricultural Products

Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 19th that it held the 'Vision Declaration Ceremony for Achieving 100% Eco-friendly Certification' at the Yuchi-myeon Administrative Welfare Center on the 18th.


The event was organized to publicly announce Yuchi-myeon's commitment to environmental protection and the co-growth of local agriculture, and to pledge to practice these goals together with residents.

The declaration ceremony was attended by about 100 people, including Kim Seong, Jangheung-gun Governor, Kim Jae-seung, Chairman of the Jangheung County Council, and Yoo Deok-gyu, Head of the Eco-friendly Agriculture Division of Jeollanam-do. Yuchi-myeon presented key goals such as minimizing the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, restoring soil health, and expanding agricultural product distribution channels to achieve 100% eco-friendly certification. During the ceremony, farmers and local residents performed a performance expressing their determination to create a 'healthy agricultural hub for both the environment and people.'


Jangheung-gun plans to actively promote various eco-friendly agricultural policies following the declaration of Yuchi-myeon's eco-friendly vision.


Governor Kim Seong said, "Yuchi-myeon, located upstream of Jangheung Dam, is an area with a high need for continuous environmental conservation and is a pristine natural region ideal for eco-friendly agriculture," adding, "We will accelerate efforts to establish Jangheung-gun as a leader in eco-friendly agriculture through the Yuchi-myeon eco-friendly declaration ceremony."
