These products are public funds that invest indirectly in the ‘MAN GLG Dynamic Income’ fund of the global asset management company MAN Group. Launched in 2022, the MAN GLG Dynamic Income fund invests in global investment-grade and high-yield bond funds, selecting global bonds based on thorough value assessment to simultaneously pursue bond capital gains and interest income.
While not restricted to any specific region, it has recently increased its allocation to European bonds, which offer higher interest rates compared to the U.S. The key performance indicator, YTW (Yield to Worst, the lowest yield a bond investor can expect), stands at approximately 8.1%. Since its launch, it has recorded a return of 71.3% (as of October 31).
The Korea Investment MAN Dynamic Income Monthly Dividend Fund, managed by Korea Investment Management, pays monthly dividends to customers based on earnings. Dividends are expected to be paid at an annualized rate of 8-9% of the investment amount. It is suitable for investors seeking regular income, stable returns, and long-term growth, as it provides regular cash flow while meeting various investment objectives.
Yang Won-taek, Head of Investment Products Division, said, "With interest rates expected to stabilize at a lower level, the reduction in corporate interest expenses could favor the global corporate bond market. Additionally, as monthly dividend products, often called a ‘second salary,’ are gaining popularity, monthly dividend-type global high-yield bond fund products will be an attractive option for investors."
The two funds were established on November 18. They can also be subscribed to online.
