Evaluation Report on Information Security Management Practices in Si/Gun of Gyeonggi-do
Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 19th that it has achieved the highest grade (S grade) for four consecutive years in the 'Gyeonggi-do City and County Information Security Management Evaluation' and has been selected as an excellent institution (3rd place) in 2024, receiving an institutional commendation.
The information security management evaluation is conducted by Gyeonggi Province to strengthen the information security capabilities and improve the security level of 31 cities and counties within the province. It consists of 75 items including administrative and technical security, crisis response, and information security activities.
Paju City received excellent evaluations for establishing a management system to eliminate information security risk factors and raising employees' awareness of information security through education.
Since 2021, Paju City has been analyzing vulnerabilities of information assets and conducting status checks annually with an information protection specialized company to improve the level of information security management. Based on the accumulated diagnostic data, it established a tracking management system for information system vulnerabilities to proactively eliminate information security risk factors.
In addition, it strengthened employees' information security capabilities and raised security awareness by conducting information security guidance and inspections, information security and personal information protection education, and cyber attack response drills for all departments.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City said, "As cyber threats increase, the importance of information security is growing. Paju City will do its best to strengthen the information security management system and actively respond to cyber attacks so that citizens can use administrative services with peace of mind."
