DH Autoware announced on the 19th that it has been officially registered as a supplier of automation equipment to Hyundai Motor and Kia production lines. This vendor registration is expected to accelerate the supply of automation equipment to overseas automakers.
DH Autoware has demonstrated its business competitiveness by supplying automation equipment such as ‘F2X’, ‘F2U’, and ‘O2X’ to the global electric vehicle brand Stellantis’ factory in Morocco. The cumulative order amount for Stellantis has exceeded 19.5 billion KRW. Based on this achievement, DH Autoware is actively conducting sales activities centered on emerging automobile production hubs such as Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.
DH Autoware is maximizing the use of industrial robots, which are the core competitiveness of the automation equipment business. It applies automation systems integrated with robot technology from the design stage to build production lines specialized for each industry. DH Autoware plans to expand its business with advanced smart factory solutions by utilizing not only robot technology but also artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
A DH Autoware official said, “This first vendor registration is meaningful in that it recognizes our technical capabilities related to the design, manufacturing, and installation of automobile production lines from a global automaker,” adding, “Automation equipment for automobile production lines requires replacement or upgrades in line with new car launches and facelifts (partial changes), so steady sales are possible.”
He continued, “Until now, supply has been carried out in the form of a consortium, but with this vendor registration, direct supply to global companies will become more active,” emphasizing, “Direct supply leads the entire project including design, manufacturing, and installation, so profitability improvement is also expected.”
DH Autoware established an automation division last year through a small-scale merger with an affiliate. The automation division designs and manufactures automation equipment engineering and various auxiliary facilities for various industries including automobiles.
