Busan Urban Corporation Wins 'Excellence Award' in Institutional Category at Korea Housing Welfare Culture Awards

Housing Welfare Return System and BMC Home Medical Recognized for Emotional Services

Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC, Acting President Park Su-saeng) received the Grand Prize in the institution category at the 7th Korea Housing Welfare Culture Awards ceremony held on the 15th for the year 2024.

BMC was highly evaluated for its existing initiatives such as ▲establishing a feedback system using the BMC Housing Welfare Service Index ▲providing various housing welfare services through the BMC Housing Welfare ON (溫) platform aimed at emotional housing welfare ▲and the newly launched BMC Home Medical Service (Mind and Body Health 3-Set) this year. In particular, BMC made efforts to improve overall housing welfare levels and enhance satisfaction among vulnerable groups by providing direct outreach medical services for residents’ health management, including ▲mental health case management ▲health checkups using medical buses ▲and traditional Korean medicine treatments.

Earlier in January, BMC won the grand prize at the 10th Housing Welfare Activity Best Practice Contest for 2024, hosted by the Korea Housing Welfare Forum, and with this award at the Korea Housing Welfare Culture Awards, BMC has achieved six consecutive wins in this competition.

Park Su-saeng, Acting President of Busan Metropolitan Corporation, stated, “This award was made possible thanks to the efforts of BMC employees who have worked hard to improve housing welfare and the interest and support of residents for housing welfare services.” He added, “The corporation will continue to strive to enhance the quality of life and satisfaction of residents through various emotional housing welfare programs such as the BMC Home Medical Service.”
