ISO/IEC 42001 Certification Acquired
Securing International Standards from Products to Organization
Hyundai AutoEver has obtained an international standard certification related to artificial intelligence (AI) management. This recognizes the risk management capabilities and operational competence of its AI technology specialized organization.
Hyundai AutoEver announced on the 19th that its company AI technology team has acquired the international standard 'AI Management System (ISO/IEC 42001)' certification.
The AI Management System certification evaluates whether a company is reliable when developing, implementing, and operating AI-based products and services. The evaluation uses standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) technical committee, and in Korea, the Korea Testing Laboratory oversees the assessment.
The AI Management System area Hyundai AutoEver obtained certification in is 'Organization.' The Korea Testing Laboratory examined whether Hyundai AutoEver's AI technology team has ▲clear objectives and scope ▲risk management ▲ethical compliance ▲transparency.
In June, Hyundai AutoEver's 'Smart Vision' also received AI Management System certification in the product domain. Smart Vision is a product where AI recognizes minute defects on finished vehicles or parts surfaces and automatically classifies the vehicle exteriors and parts by defect type. Following AI-related products, Hyundai AutoEver, having acquired international standards for the organization as well, plans to utilize AI throughout its operations to enhance productivity and provide innovative AI-based products and services.
Jidu Hyun, Head of Hyundai AutoEver SW Development Center and AI Technology Team (Executive Director), stated, "We will continue to develop AI-based products and services that comply with international standards while enhancing the practical business value for our clients."
