7-Month-Old Twins Murdered While Husband Was at Work
A woman in her 40s who killed her twin daughters due to parenting stress surrendered to the police.
The Yeosu Police Station in Jeollanam-do urgently arrested a woman in her 40s, identified as A, on the 18th on suspicion of murder for killing her two 7-month-old daughters. A is suspected of suffocating the twin girls at her home in Ungcheon-dong, Yeosu City, around 8:30 a.m. that day.
It was investigated that A committed the crime while her husband was at work. About four hours after the incident, at around 12:40 p.m., she called the police to report her crime.
During the police investigation, A reportedly stated, "I could not endure the parenting stress," and "My husband did not actively help with childcare." It was also reported that there were no previous reports of child abuse against A.
The police plan to conduct an autopsy on the deceased infants to determine the exact cause of death and will also investigate the husband's responsibility. Considering the seriousness of the case, they plan to apply for an arrest warrant for A on the 19th.
