Is There Any Safety Issue with the 'Guro Station-NC Department Store Connecting Passage'?

Guro-gu has been actively conducting a detailed safety inspection of the pedestrian passage connecting Guro Station and NC Department Store since the 4th of last month to ensure residents' safety.

Since its completion in December 1993, the management responsibility of the Guro Station-NC Department Store connecting passage has been unclear. To proactively address safety concerns and prevent potential accidents, a detailed safety inspection is underway.

During the on-site investigation by the detailed safety inspection company, the need for structural reinforcement was raised. Accordingly, Guro-gu plans to conduct a technical review by external expert advisory members and cooperate with related organizations such as Korail, Guro Station, and NC Department Store to ensure that residents do not experience inconvenience during the inspection process.

Additionally, based on the results from the detailed safety inspection, a specific repair and reinforcement plan will be established and coordinated with related organizations to ensure residents can safely use the passage.

A Guro-gu official stated, “Through this detailed safety inspection, we will do our best to make the Guro Station-NC Department Store connecting passage a safe route that residents can use with confidence.”
