Trump Calls Social Media Posts About Military Deployment "Fact"
President-elect of the United States Donald Trump has stated that he may declare a national emergency and deploy the military to carry out a large-scale deportation operation targeting illegal immigrants immediately after his inauguration in January next year.
On the 18th (local time), Trump shared a post by Tom Fitton, who leads the conservative civic group 'Judicial Watch,' on his social networking service (SNS) Truth Social, which he created, and wrote "TRUE!!!".
In a post uploaded on the 9th, Fitton wrote, "According to reports, the incoming Trump administration is ready to declare a national emergency and use military assets to reverse 'Biden's invasion' (the large influx of illegal immigrants) through a large-scale deportation program," which Trump has now acknowledged as true.
Earlier, during his candidacy, Trump had promised that if he won the presidential election, he would "become a dictator on the first day of inauguration," signaling a large-scale deportation of illegal immigrants. He appointed Tom Homan, former director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as the 'border czar' to oversee illegal immigration issues in the new administration, and Stephen Miller, former senior advisor to the White House who designed deportation plans for illegal immigrants, as deputy chief of staff at the White House. By placing hardline anti-immigration figures in key positions related to immigration policy, Trump is expected to accelerate the closure of the southern border and large-scale deportations of illegal immigrants, which he had pledged, immediately after his inauguration in January next year.
