'Special Release 2024' Featuring 8 Single Malt Varieties

Lotte Mart announced on the 19th that it will exclusively present the limited edition collection "Special Release 2024," consisting of eight types of single malt whiskies from Diageo, for whiskey enthusiasts.

Special Release is a natural cask strength (whiskey bottled directly after maturation without dilution) collection that the global premium liquor company Diageo, owner of famous brands such as Johnnie Walker and Guinness, has been releasing annually since 2001. It is a limited quantity collection selected by the world's top whiskey artisans from the largest single malt Scotch whisky maturation warehouse in the world.
From January this year until the 14th, sales of limited edition and premium whiskies priced over 200,000 KRW at Lotte Mart increased by about 30% compared to the same period last year. The theme of the 2024 Special Release is "Whiskey, Cultural Exchange (Spirited Xchange)," the second edition following the 2023 Special Release presented under the same theme. This collection consists of single malt whiskies including Maltlock, Singleton 14 Years, Talisker 8 Years, Lagavulin 12 Years, Oban 10 Years, Benrinnes 21 Years, Roseisle 12 Years, and Caol Ila 11 Years. The packaging of each product was created in collaboration with world-renowned photographers such as Till Janz and Ben Thouard.
Online pre-orders for the limited edition collection will be available through the "Bottle Shop" on Lotte ON from the 21st to the 27th at 20 stores. Products can be picked up at the designated Lotte Mart offline stores starting from the 5th of next month when ordered online. Additionally, offline sales will begin on the same day at three Bottle Bunker locations (Jamsil, Seoul Station, Sangmu), including Lotte Mart Songpa store and 40 other stores, as well as Lotte Super Dogok store. Furthermore, a total of 10 types of premium whiskies, including Russell's Reserve 15 Years, will also be sold exclusively online at the Bottle Shop starting from the 21st. To commemorate the exclusive launch of Special Release 2024, a tasting class will be held on the 26th at the Bottle Bunker Seoul Station store.
