Namyangju City Shares Future Education Cooperation District Achievements with Guri Namyangju Office of Education

Education Pact 'Gongyurang Miryerang' Festival

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 18th that it held a performance sharing meeting on the 16th at the Namyangju Sports and Culture Center to review one year of the Future Education Cooperation District project and share the achievements of 11 projects, together with the Guri Namyangju Office of Education.

The performance sharing meeting was held with about 900 attendees including Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju, Superintendent Seo Eun-kyung, school officials, parents, and students, and proceeded in the order of △Introduction of the Future Education Cooperation District project △Presentation of outstanding project cases △Experience booths of shared schools.


A school official who presented an outstanding case said, “I am glad to be able to present the achievements of one year in front of many people, and I want to continue growing through various opportunities in the future.”


Mayor Joo Gwang-deok emphasized, “Today’s event is a meaningful festival where the city, the Office of Education, students, and the educational community come together to create harmony in education,” adding, “As Dasan Jeong Yak-yong said, ‘Raising one child is raising one world,’ today’s festival is a precious opportunity to create thousands of beautiful worlds.”


Superintendent Seo Eun-kyung stressed, “In the rapidly changing future society, children must be educated through programs where all communities inside and outside schools participate together,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate with Namyangju City and do our best for children’s healthy and joyful learning.”


Namyangju City plans to establish detailed plans with the Guri Namyangju Office of Education in February next year and sign an annex agreement based on the 2025 operation plan for the Future Education Cooperation District project.
