According to the Navy on the 18th, the Columbia docked at the Busan Naval Operations Command's Busan Naval Base in Nam-gu, Busan, for loading supplies and crew rest. The Navy stated that it plans to further strengthen the combined defense posture through exchanges and cooperation, including ship visits between the US and South Korean navies, taking advantage of the Columbia's arrival.

Previously, in September, the Virginia-class nuclear-powered submarine USS Vermont (SSN-792, 7,800 tons) also docked at the Busan Naval Base.
