Seven Eleven is releasing its winter-specialized strawberry sandwich about three weeks earlier due to the early arrival of cold weather. The new strawberry sandwich product introduced this year is called ‘Mongle Mongle Strawberry Sand.’ For the key ingredient, strawberries, Seven Eleven directly sourced high-quality Seolhyang strawberries, known for their large size and sweetness, from Goryeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, a famous domestic strawberry-producing region, based on an MOU with Gyeongsangbuk-do. They also focused on the bread. Seven Eleven used ‘Paskie Pangolle,’ a popular product from the French premium bakery ‘Paskie,’ which gained attention on social media (SNS). Compared to last year’s ‘Berry Sweet Strawberry Sand,’ the amount of strawberries was doubled, and the cream increased by about 50%. Seven Eleven plans to sell a limited quantity (500 units per round, total 1,000 units) in two rounds on the 21st and 28th via the Seven Application (app) in about 7,000 stores in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, and parts of Chungcheong.
