Regional Mutual Development and Activation of the Hometown Love Donation Program
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) joined hands with Jeonju City, Jeollabuk-do Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Woo Beom-gi) in mutual hometown love donations, strengthening the activation of the Hometown Love Donation System.
A total of 3.5 million KRW was donated to Jeonju City by 35 employees of Gangseo-gu Office and local community centers, each contributing 100,000 KRW, and Jeonju City also contributed hometown love donations to Gangseo-gu.

The district expects that this mutual donation will not only activate the Hometown Love Donation System but also greatly help promote exchanges and cooperation between regions in the future.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “I express my gratitude to the employees who voluntarily took the lead in donations to promote a culture of giving,” adding, “We will continue to strive for regional development and the activation of the Hometown Love Donation System through cooperation with various local governments.”
The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their own address, receiving tax deductions (full deduction up to 100,000 KRW) and gifts worth up to 30% of the donation amount. Gangseo-gu provides various items as gifts, including Gangseo Love Gift Certificates, Mediheal skincare products, sesame oil sets, and traditional liquor.
