A claim has been made that a husband who went from being a credit defaulter to a wealthy asset owner through real estate development not only committed adultery but also assaulted his wife in front of their young children.
The wife, Ms. A (44), recently appeared consecutively on JTBC's 'Case Officer' and KBS JOY's 'Ask Me Anything' to expose her husband's misconduct. According to Ms. A, the two met in 2017 through a church acquaintance and got married after five months. Ms. A said, her husband, a real estate developer, was a credit defaulter when they first met, but she was attracted to his caring and innocent nature. They became pregnant within a month, and afterward, her husband's business began to improve. As the husband's real estate development project worth 100 billion KRW succeeded, he purchased an apartment in Gangnam worth over 4 billion KRW and bought expensive foreign cars and luxury goods. In response to Seo Jang-hoon's remark, "I can't believe a credit defaulter earned 100 billion KRW through land development," Ms. A countered, "I saw a tax notice from the National Tax Service for 7 billion KRW."
One day, Ms. A discovered threatening emails from her husband's ex-girlfriend on his phone. The ex-girlfriend threatened to reveal that the husband had committed 'marriage fraud and sexual assault,' and Ms. A claims that the husband paid tens of millions of KRW to silence her. Additionally, the husband lied about his academic background and his in-laws, and he had previously registered a marriage in his twenties. When Ms. A confronted him, he apologized, saying, "I will never lie again."

However, the shocking facts did not end there. On the husband's phone, there were about 100 contacts suspected to be related to prostitution, including suspicious text messages, and many contacts appeared to be women working in entertainment establishments. Some contacts even had a "smiley face (^^)" next to them. There was also evidence that he financially supported a Chinese woman. Ms. A explained that the husband, who said he was going to a sauna, was confirmed by a black box to have gone to the mistress's house. When Ms. A pressed him about this, he hurled insults and threats such as "Be prepared for a stabbing." Last year, the police were called after the husband strangled Ms. A in front of their then 6-year-old daughter. Ms. A is currently in the process of divorce litigation and expressed frustration, saying, "The court ruled that he should pay 3 million KRW in advance child support, but he has not paid."
Netizens who read this story responded with various comments such as, "It seems like he's not just addicted to prostitution but running it," "Seo Jang-hoon's words seem right. How could a credit defaulter earn 100 billion KRW?" "The woman seems innocent. It's sad," "Many people do bad things when they suddenly get a lot of money," "Money reveals one's true character," "Good that she is getting a divorce," "Don't ever answer if he contacts you," and "He doesn't seem like an ordinary scammer."
