Socar, 'Passport' Nears 1 Million Cumulative Subscribers Commemoration Event

Socar announced on the 18th that it will hold an event as the number of Passport subscribers is about to reach 1 million.

They will provide a welcome coupon pack worth up to 190,000 KRW for car sharing and accommodation, doubling the car sharing discount coupons given upon Passport subscription. The car sharing coupon pack consists of two 70,000 KRW discount coupons for rental fees, which can be used regardless of car type, weekday/weekend, region, round-trip/one-way/call type, making it highly versatile.

Additionally, a free trial event is being held to allow users to experience some of the Passport benefits in advance. Users can try some Passport benefits free for 3 months, including free call fees, unlimited 50% discount on rental fees, and 50% discount on one-way fees. Any Socar member without a history of Passport subscription can apply. However, those who apply for the free trial are excluded from receiving the coupon pack worth up to 190,000 KRW, which is only given to members who subscribe to the membership for a fee.

Moreover, members aged 21 to 29 who subscribe to Passport for a fee will receive an immediate 10,000 KRW discount on the subscription fee.

The 1,000,000th subscriber will be given an unprecedented discount coupon allowing free car sharing rental for one year.

Meanwhile, Passport is an annual membership service first launched in the mobility industry in 2021. Upon subscription, it provides welcome gifts worth up to 120,000 KRW for car sharing and accommodation, unlimited 50% discount on rental fees, and unlimited 5% points accumulation benefits.
