Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) held a ceremony to unveil the Love Fruit Temperature Tower, marking the start of the ‘2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’ on the afternoon of the 15th in the lobby on the first floor of Jungnang-gu Office.
The ‘Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’ is a representative winter neighbor-helping project where residents collect donations or goods to support neighbors in need within the community.
The fundraising will continue until February 14 next year, and the Love Fruit Temperature Tower’s temperature rises by 1 degree each time 1% of the target amount is collected, reaching 100 degrees when the goal is achieved.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by about 80 people, including Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi, the fundraising project manager of the Seoul Community Chest of Korea, heads of local welfare organizations, and chairpersons of social security councils. The event included pinning the Love Fruit badge, unveiling the Love Temperature Tower, and a donation relay.
Notably, at this event, the Korea Racing Authority Jungnang Branch (Branch Manager Yoo Seung-il) participated as the first donor for the ‘2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’ and held a donation handover ceremony.
Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi said, “I hope everyone will come together to ensure that our neighbors in need in the region can have a warm winter again this year,” adding, “We will carefully look after every corner of the community so that no one is left out and everyone can spend the cold winter warmly.”
The ‘2024 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign,’ which was promoted for three months from last November, raised about 1.95 billion won, exceeding 9.9% of the target amount, achieving the highest fundraising amount ever.
