Skills Competed in Processed Food Development and Survival Swimming

On the 15th, Jeollanam-do held a Fisheries High School Unity Day event at Yeosu City Youth Marine Education Center, where over 200 fisheries high school students gathered to compete in skills such as processed food development and survival swimming, while communicating together.
Held for the second time following last year, this event was co-hosted by Jeollanam-do, Jeollanam-do Office of Education, Wando Fisheries High School, Sinan Marine Science High School, Yeosu Marine Science High School, Yeosu City Youth Marine Education Center, and the Korea Fisheries Management Association Jeonnam Branch. Through various competitions and programs, participants shared their experiences and visions.
Various competitions such as Aquascape, fisheries processed food development, and marine leisure survival swimming were held, allowing students to fully demonstrate the skills they have honed.
Additionally, an exhibition and team evaluation of excellent fisheries processed food products made by the students were conducted, contributing to the improvement of practical skills. Students who achieved outstanding results in the competitions were awarded commendations from the Governor of Jeollanam-do.
Kim Hyun-mi, Director of the Maritime and Port Division of Jeollanam-do, stated, “We will continue to hold meetings to communicate with young fishermen and gather their opinions,” adding, “To this end, we will discover and implement various policies to foster young fishermen and support their growth.”
