"Plans for Struggle to Be Discussed Again Later"

Medical Student Association "2025 Government Struggle Underway" (Update)

The Korean Medical School and Graduate Medical School Student Association (KMSA) held an expanded general student representative meeting on the 15th at Space Share in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where they decided on this matter.

At the meeting, more than 280 representatives from 40 medical school student councils nationwide and representatives by academic year attended to discuss responses to the current medical crisis and other national issues, as well as the association's future course of action.

KMSA announced that the agenda to "carry out a struggle in the 2025 academic year to enforce the association's demands on the government to correct the national issues caused by the government" was passed with 267 votes in favor and 2 abstentions out of 269 voting members.

They also agreed that the decision to end the future struggle would be made through a vote reflecting the opinions of all members.

The agenda to "implement the association's declaration to end the struggle over national issues in a form that reflects the will of all members" was supported by 263 members (1 opposed, 2 abstained).

However, KMSA stated that specific plans for the struggle will be discussed again at a later date.
