Coway announced on the 15th that it is accelerating its attack on the premium mattress market by launching two new products, the ‘Virex Smart Mattress’ models ‘S8+’ and ‘S6+’.
The ‘Virex Smart Mattress,’ introduced in 2022, is a product that provides a customized sleep environment by applying slipcell material that injects air instead of springs.
The new products highlight the comfortable feel and functional advantages unique to smart mattresses, enhancing the user's perceived comfort. They are equipped with a high-spec control system that increases control speed and the perceived intensity of functions for users, and the pressure range of the slipcell has been expanded by about 40% compared to previous models.
In particular, the new smart mattress models feature a sleep course function that adjusts mattress firmness according to sleep time. Before falling asleep, the mattress induces sleep with a soft firmness and a gentle wave motion of the slipcell, and during sleep, it increases firmness to firmly support the waist.
Additionally, an automatic body pressure dispersion function is equipped to detect changes in the user's movements even when turning over during sleep, analyze body pressure differences by body part, and automatically disperse pressure to help ensure comfortable sleep.
The new products also feature upgraded healing functions that aid sleep induction and comfortable rest. Built-in speakers provide relaxing soundtracks that help body relaxation, and six selectable relax modes tailored to the user's condition help users fall asleep comfortably.
The Virex Smart Mattress S8+ supports body care and stretching functions by automatically moving the mattress from head to waist to legs with smart focused care and smart posture adjustment functions that relieve fatigue.
Moreover, convenience is enhanced with a wireless remote control equipped with a display, and through a dedicated app, users can easily check and control sleep reports, real-time body pressure information, firmness control, and mode settings.
The new products are released in two models, S8+ and S6+, according to their functions, and are available in four sizes?Large King, King, Queen, and Super Single?and two colors, Navy and Beige, broadening consumer choices. Additionally, to commemorate the launch, customers who purchase the S8+ will receive a smart mattress exclusive cover as a gift.
