Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Sports for All Festival ... Athlete Team Encouragement and Closing Ceremony Held

21 Sports Disciplines with 617 Athletes Participating
Entrance Award (Harmony Award) and 12 Awards Won

The Changnyeong County Sports Council in Gyeongnam held a closing ceremony on the 14th to encourage the Changnyeong County athletes who participated in the 35th Gyeongsangnam-do Sports for All Festival.


This year's Gyeongsangnam-do Sports for All Festival was held from the 1st to the 3rd of this month in Tongyeong City, and the Changnyeong County team successfully concluded the event by winning the Harmony Award for entrance, first place in bowling and paragliding, second place in soccer, and third place in eight other events including gateball and volleyball.

The closing ceremony proceeded in the order of performance report, presentation of the Harmony Award, and awards for winning events. About 100 people, including Kim Bohak, chairman of the Changnyeong County Sports Council, Seong Nakin, mayor of Changnyeong County, Hong Seongdu, chairman of the Changnyeong County Council, as well as presidents and executives of various sports organizations and athletes, attended to encourage the athletes and foster harmony among them.


Chairman Kim said, “Despite the difficulties in conducting the competition due to rain during the festival, I thank the athletes who did their best in the games and the association and sports council executives who led the teams with dedicated leadership.”


Mayor Seong, in his encouragement speech, stated, “We will prepare to make the 65th Gyeongnam Provincial Sports Festival, to be held in Changnyeong County in 2026, and the subsequent Gyeongsangnam-do Sports for All Festival exemplary events, so we ask for your support and participation.”
