Participation in 'Cityscape Global 2024'

At Team Naver's exhibition booth, organized together with the Saudi National Housing Company (NHC), Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX), and Korea Water Resources Corporation, key officials involved in urban development from major cities in the Middle East visited continuously. In particular, more than ten local government heads from across Saudi Arabia visited the booth, showing strong interest in adopting the digital twin platform.

During the event, Team Naver held meetings with key figures such as the Saudi Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, NHC, CEOs of Saudi water authorities, and local government leaders. They introduced the spatial intelligence technology 'Naver Twin XR Platform,' announced recently at Team Naver's integrated conference 'DAN24,' and discussed various collaboration possibilities including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), robotics, and autonomous driving.

Team Naver signed a contract in October last year for the 'Digital Twin Platform Construction Project for Major Cities in Saudi Arabia' and officially started the project in July this year. By integrating various spatial intelligence technologies such as the precise spatial mapping solution 'Arlik,' mapping robots, and artificial intelligence (AI) positioning systems, they are creating a 3D virtual world identical to the real cities. The service is being prepared to provide customized solutions tailored to local Saudi conditions such as floods, urban environments, and transportation systems.

Kim Yuwon, CEO of Naver Cloud, said, "Through Cityscape Global 2024, we showcased Team Naver's digital twin technology to the Middle Eastern market, bringing us closer to realizing Saudi Arabia's smart city vision. We will do our best to successfully open the first phase of services in major Saudi cities early next year."
