Ulsan Technopark Hosted, 'Haerum Alliance Venture and Startup Companies Exchange Market Leading the Local Era'
Ulsan City will hold the ‘2024 Haeoreum Alliance Venture and Startup Company Innovation Forum’ at 2 p.m. on the 15th at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center.
This forum is hosted by the Haeoreum Alliance, consisting of Ulsan, Pohang, and Gyeongju, and organized by Ulsan Technopark, with the theme ‘The Role of Startup Companies Leading the Local Era.’
Since it began in Ulsan in 2019, the forum has been held sequentially in Gyeongju and Pohang, and this is the second time it is held in Ulsan.
The event is designed to explore the interaction between the startup ecosystem and regional economic development and to highlight the innovative role of local startup companies.
About 100 people, including Ahn Hyo-dae, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of Ulsan City; Jang Sang-gil, Deputy Mayor of Pohang City; Song Ho-jun, Deputy Mayor of Gyeongju City; Baek Hyun-jo, Chair of the Industry and Construction Committee of the Ulsan City Council; and officials from the Haeoreum Alliance, will attend. The program includes special lectures, keynote presentations, and participant discussions.
The special lecture will be delivered by Kim Young-sang, Vice President of Megazone, on ‘Taking Local Competitiveness to the World ? Opportunities for Venture and Startup Companies in the Digital Era.’
Keynote presentations include Dr. Lee Kyung-woo of the Ulsan Institute’s talk on ‘The Role of Ulsan’s Manufacturing Innovation and Venture and Startup Companies in the Eco-friendly Energy Era,’ Director Ahn Seok-hyun of Pohang United Technology Holdings’ presentation on ‘The Role of Venture and Startup Companies Leading the Local Era ? Pohang Case,’ and CEO Baek Ki-dong of Promax’s talk on ‘The Role and Success Strategies for Revitalizing Industry-Academia-Government Cooperation and Mutual Growth.’
Following this, startup experts, startup companies, and researchers will discuss the latest trends in startups and the development direction of the local startup ecosystem.
In particular, this forum plans to deeply discuss ways in which startup companies can contribute to job creation, industrial innovation, technology development, and youth startup activation within the region, marking a turning point called the ‘local era.’
An official from Ulsan City said, “As the innovative role of startup companies is crucial to injecting new vitality into the local economy, we hope this forum will serve as a platform to present practical directions for development.”
