SK Securities analyzed that since the official commercialization of ChatGPT in November last year, the generative artificial intelligence (AI) boom has intensified, making it a time to focus on software-related companies.

Na Seungdu, a researcher at SK Securities, explained, "NVIDIA's stock price has risen more than 200% compared to the beginning of the year," adding, "It has secured the position as the world's largest market capitalization company."

He continued, "Based on its unparalleled competitiveness in the AI chip market, there is still anticipation for further growth," and added, "There is currently a trend of taking a brief pause around the event of the U.S. presidential election." He said, "Investors are cautiously beginning to prepare for the period following the hardware growth represented by AI chips," and emphasized, "The field to pay the most attention to at this time is software (S/W)."

Researcher Na stated, "Hints can be found in the growth process of the mobile industry that led the IT sector's rise in the early 2010s," analyzing, "The competition between Qualcomm and ARM in mobile chips, which began with the advent of smartphones, expanded into device competition between Samsung and Apple." He emphasized, "The growth of the smartphone device and related infrastructure industries led to the emergence and growth of innovative software companies such as Google and Amazon."

Researcher Na advised, "The behavior observed in the AI market is similar," suggesting, "We can consider the emergence and growth of innovative S/W." He said, "S/W combined with generative AI is highly likely to receive significant attention in the market," and added, "AI integration that maximizes the production efficiency of products or services is expected to be highlighted."

He identified Duzon Bizon, Lunit, MRO, Hangul and Computer, Polaris Office, and Saltlux as software companies to watch.
