“A World Where Children Are Respected” ... Changwon Special City Holds Ceremony for Child Abuse Prevention Day

Changwon Mayor Hong Nampyo: "Striving to Create an Environment Where Children Are Respected and Protected"

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the ‘2024 Child Abuse Prevention Day Ceremony’ on the 14th at the City Hall Citizen Hall to create a world where children are respected.

This event was hosted by Changwon City and organized by the Changwon Child Protection Agency in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Day (November 19) to raise public awareness for the eradication of child abuse.

The event, aimed at increasing citizens' interest in eradicating child abuse, included an awards ceremony to honor those who contributed to the prevention of child abuse and the protection of abused children, and provided a time to reaffirm the commitment to a safe and happy world for children.

In particular, the event was made even more meaningful by the proclamation of the 2025 Changwon-style child protection system slogan, “In 2025, Changwon Special City will be the rainbow for children!” It embodies the meaning of protecting children happily with the phrases: ▲ ‘Mu’ (Infinite) love for children, Changwon Special City ▲ ‘Ji’ (Protecting) children, Changwon Special City ▲ Respecting children’s ‘Gae’ (Individuality), Changwon Special City.

Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, stated, “The city will continue to make greater efforts to create an environment where children are respected and protected. I ask for the affection and interest of many citizens.”
