They called 119, brought an automated external defibrillator from a nearby administrative welfare center, and together with the librarian teacher who witnessed the event, performed CPR to restore the citizen’s spontaneous breathing before handing them over to 119.

S-OIL CEO Al Hizaji said, “Citizens who have shown self-sacrifice for neighbors in danger are the true heroes of our society,” adding, “Like these hidden heroes, S-OIL will also strive to be a reliable guardian you can trust.”

Since 2008, S-OIL has discovered a total of 325 Citizen Heroes over 17 years, awarding approximately 2.4 billion KRW in prize money and supporting those who have demonstrated brave civic spirit by saving neighbors in dangerous situations.
