Wonju City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Won Kang-su) announced on the 14th that many companies located in Wonju City are donating cash or goods one after another to help neighbors in need as the year-end approaches.
On the 14th, Chamzon Co., Ltd. handed over 100,000 masks to Won Kang-su, Mayor of Wonju City (center), at the investment consultation room on the 7th floor of Wonju City Hall, to be distributed to 110 welfare facilities including facilities for the disabled and the elderly in the district.
Chamzon Co., Ltd., a cosmetics specialist company (CEO Yeom Dong-jin and Kang Young-mo), delivered 100,000 masks worth 33 million KRW at the 7th-floor investment consultation room of Wonju City Hall, requesting that they be distributed to 110 welfare facilities in the district, including facilities for the disabled and the elderly.
Oh Heon-il, factory manager of Chamzon, said, “We are donating 100,000 masks so that vulnerable groups with respiratory diseases can have a safe winter,” adding, “We will continue to strive to support Wonju City steadily in the future.”
On the 14th, Coremed Co., Ltd. delivered a donation of 6 million won for foster children to Won Kang-su, Mayor of Wonju City (center), at the investment consultation room on the 7th floor of Wonju City Hall.
Also, Coremed Co., Ltd., a medical device sales company (CEO Jeon Jae-sung), delivered a sponsorship fund of 6 million KRW on the same day for children in foster care. Coremed continues regular sponsorships for children.
Jeon Jae-sung, CEO of Coremed, said, “We hope our help becomes even a small hope for the children of Wonju City,” and added, “We will contribute to the promotion of community welfare through continuous interest in the future.”
On the 14th, NH Nonghyup Wonju Branch handed over 600 agricultural product packages and 3,550 kg of white rice to Won Gang-su, Mayor of Wonju (center), at the investment consultation room on the 7th floor of Wonju City Hall, to be delivered to low-income vulnerable groups and child and women welfare facilities.
The NH Nonghyup Wonju Branch also joined the line of corporate donations. The NH Nonghyup Wonju Branch (Branch Manager Kim Ju-seok) delivered 600 agricultural product packages worth 42 million KRW and 3,550 kg of white rice to low-income vulnerable groups and child and women welfare facilities on that day.
The NH Nonghyup Wonju Branch continues various contribution activities for the local community, such as supporting the Angel Movement, providing scholarships for Wonju youth, and sharing rice with vulnerable groups.
A representative of the NH Nonghyup Wonju Branch said, “We hope that donating local agricultural products to neighbors in need will become a support that allows everyone to coexist.”
On the 14th, SGI Seoul Guarantee Wonju Branch delivered a designated donation of 15 million KRW to Won Kang-su, Mayor of Wonju (center), at the 7th-floor Investment Consultation Room of Wonju City Hall, to be used for Galgeori Sarangchon and Wonju Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
SGI Seoul Guarantee Wonju Branch (Branch Manager Lee Jin-yong) delivered a designated donation fund of 15 million KRW to be used for Galgeori Sarangchon and Wonju Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
SGI Seoul Guarantee has been practicing continuous sharing by donating sponsorship funds annually to Galgeori Sarangchon in Wonju City since 2013 and to Wonju Comprehensive Social Welfare Center since 2023.
